IMPORTANT ADOPTION INFORMATION
IMPORTANT ADOPTION INFORMATION [ Male ] [ Feb 03, 2012 ]

Thanks for visiting our website and considering one of our cats for adoption! We are a 100% volunteer-run shelter, and because of that we do adoptions by appointment only - during the day, evenings, and weekends. The adoption process generally goes as follows:

1. Call and leave a message on the cat adoption line (number below) and we'll call you back to set up a time for you to come to the shelter.

2. We'll meet you at the shelter (1500 Royal York Road - Suite E, above the Bank of Montreal). You'll have a chance to meet all of our cats available for adoption, and spend some time getting to know their personalities.

3. Once you've made that magical connection and you're ready to move ahead with an adoption we'll go through specific paperwork including a questionnaire that will help us to know if the cat you've chosen is the best match for you.

4. As a shelter we have adoption guidelines and we'll go through those with you in person. Two things you should know before you come in - in order to adopt from us you must agree to have your cat spayed or neutered (if not already done), and the cat must be an indoor pet only.

5. Our adoption fee is $175 - this includes full vaccination, microchip, and spay/neuter for any cat older than six months of age. For kittens the adoption fee covers the vaccinations that have been completed to the date of adoption, and a microchip. Kittens also come with a spay/neuter incentive of $25 which will be paid to you once we receive proof of sterilization surgery.

6. Finally, if all goes well - we'll bundle up your new furry family member and you'll take them home and live happily ever after! We suggest that you bring a carrier with you if you're considering adopting a cat that day. If you'd like to make an appointment to come and meet our cats and discuss adoption please call us at (416) 249-6100 and leave a message on the cat adoption line. We will return your call within 24 hours.
