There has been a great deal of confusion about Etobicoke Humane Society and Toronto Humane Society since the amalgamation of the four Toronto municipalities. Both are affiliates of the Ontario S.P.C.A., and as such have their own boundaries. In the Toronto area, Ontario S.P.C.A. directly administers North York and Scarborough. Toronto Humane Society covers Toronto proper and the old municipality of York, Etobicoke Humane Society continues to cover the boundaries of the community of Etobicoke.

EHS is always in need of volunteers. If you are interested in volunteering in any of the above areas please contact the EHS office, and the coordinator will get in touch with you when there is a need in that area.

Office/Shelter hours to view cats/kittens:
Monday to Friday 10:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. and 1:30 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Closed Saturday and Sunday.
Arrangements to view cats for adoption after hours can be made by contacting the EHS office at 416-249-6100, Cat Adoptions.
EHS dogs for adoption are housed in foster-homes, not at the shelter. To make arrangements to view dogs for adoption, please call the
EHS office 416-249-6100, Dog Adoptions.
